The Marketplace

Our ethical expertise means we are well placed to advise clients on issues and opportunities as they arise, whilst giving opinion on the topical debates to help raise awareness across the industry. The Added Value “Branding For Good” summits provide the perfect platform for clients to engage in the issues to help them to form workable strategies for their businesses. We’re working with several clients and companies on various ethical projects, including Vodafone, Colgate-Palmolive, Cadbury Schweppes, Nurnberg Zoo and AMREF.

The Workplace

We want our people to enjoy coming to work and know they are in a healthy and supportive environment where they feel inspired, respected and fairly rewarded for their work. Regular, transparent, 2-way communication through surveys and performance assessments encourage open feedback.  We adopt a flexible work policy that encourages a work/life balance. Whilst small initiatives like fruit baskets or vouchers to buy a bike to cycle to work, show our people that we care.

The Environment

Of course, for a global business like ours with clients stretching across the world, the impact that our carbon footprint is having on the environment is a key concern. To help reduce our travel impact, we are making ever-increasing use of video and other digital technologies, both for consumer research and client engagement. This benefits our clients in terms of cost savings as well as reducing CO2 emissions. Recycling programmes are already in place in many offices as are purchasing policies which favour environmentally-friendly products. Audits on the energy efficiency of the office sites are underway. In fact, our new office building in LA has been constructed using the latest environmental technology and in Germany, the money saved from energy efficiency initiatives is put towards developing new energy sustaining projects.

The Community

We are very conscious about the welfare of our surrounding communities, which combined with the spontaneous, kind and generous nature of our staff generates on-going benefits to the community. Examples include pro-bono workshops with WWF; work experience placements for underprivileged students; Give-As-You-Earn matching schemes; and a plethora of staff fundraising events including Bring & Buy sales and even an Added Value recipe book! From a corporate perspective, we also reach out to future business leaders by speaking at business schools on the importance of responsible marketing.
