“Stretchy”.  That’s one of the first “Added Value words” I heard on my very first day. Our MD was talking about being stretchy – thinking differently, looking round corners, doing a little more than you might be strictly comfortable with. And that’s what working for Added Value is like. You might have a title, a set of skills or a particular expertise, but if an extra brain, pair of hands or solution is needed, you could be in the team. This means that, if you want, you can learn new skills, meet new people, dig out some gob-smacking insight every day or simply end it with a slightly altered state of mind. Stretchy!

Moowa Masani – Project Manager: Insight

Most days sizzle with excitement.  I often wake up wondering which city am I in.   Life seems quite strange and exciting as an insighter.  One minute I’m chatting with different consumers in a formal focus group about their weight, which feels like I'm at a weight watchers meeting, and the next I’m quizzing the details of the life of a young respondent in their home in the heart of Soweto, Johannesburg.   I wonder if I am really working: is having this much fun allowed?  As I get off the plane and jump onto my scooter - yeah, I’m a biker dude - I think to myself: I learn something new each and every day, not only about myself, but about other people and life in general – each day is kind of like a re-birth!
