The financial crisis and how Germans deal with it

In the light of recent developments we have captured in a representative study the current mood of the Germans in the financial crisis, focusing on the financial services sector. What is the current state of mind? What are the consequences, what actions are taken? Or are there any actions at all? We noticed a state of shock among the people. This is an opportunity for the industry to win time and to adjust their communication. Besides, German banks, banking groups and insurance companies can breathe a sign of relief – German roots give consumers the sense of security.

Regional beer brands – being homebound creates loyalty

The Germans are not as beer-thirsty as they used to be. Per capita consumption continuously decreased from 131.2 litres per German citizen in 1997 to 111.7 litres in 2007. Especially regional breweries are suffering from this trend. However, there are convincing exceptions.
